Cotton wool is a soft, fibrous, and absorbent material made from pure cotton fibers, commonly used in laboratories, medical clinics, and schools for cleaning, absorbing liquids, or sealing flasks and test tubes. In labs, it’s also used to filter substances or as a plug in microbial work.
